Camera Raw

Work with RAW images in Photoshop.

RAW image is an image format without any type of compression (because they include all the details that make reference to tone, color or brightness of a graphic file), that gives us a very high quality image that can be edited with any tool that accepts this format, once developed.

  Adobe Camera Raw is the oficial Adobe plug-in to work with RAW files while using Photoshop. And it offers compatibility for practically all the cameras available on the market that can produce this peculiar format.

  All we will have to do is copy the plug-in into the corresponding folder of the directory where Photoshop is installed, making sure that when we do so that we have installed the proper profile for our cameras in the application and closed it, before doing this. Once we have installed this plug-in we will be able to adapt the image (configure the color levels, brightness, tone depth, contrast, photograph output size,...) to our liking, so we can touch it up with the editor to our liking; apply filters, crop elements or export it to any format of our choice.

  Among the cameras that are compatible with Camera Caw we will find the following models: Canon EOS-1D, PowerShot 600 o EOS 450D (Digital Rebel XSi/EOS Kiss X2), Kodak DSC 14n, Olympus E-1, Epson R-D1, Nikon D3s, ...

  Thanks to Camera Raw you won't need any other application to prepare the image files from your camera before being able to edit and retouch them in Adobe Photoshop.

  Requirements: To use Camera Raw you have to have Photoshop installed on your computer, and a compressor compatible with ZIP files.
